Somebody crashed this razor. It's obviously crumbled together at the top. Two wrinkles instead of one. Not safe to use anymore.
That is what I thought, probably a junked single ring.
I'd love to see pictures once done!I could always have it cerakoted in pink and give it to the wife. Not a total loss I guess C:
Post of the year! It’s an extremely rare 14 teeth variant of the Golf razor (Germany).

Looks like a double ring to me. Not sure why the blade brand is relevant. Pretty sure the blade brand is Trophy.
I'd love to see pictures once done!
Maybe I misunderstand you or vice versa The cap and comb modification was made by the owner, not Gillette. Sanded down caps and added channels pop up from time to time, I don’t really know why the top was flattened and why the handle has no marking.

I thought NI when I saw it too. This makes perfect sense. While walking our dog, thought further about it. The Dr and NI were only ~17 years apart, so it could be plausible that someone upgraded his/her "vintage" to the new design without spending a dime. That flat top and "fulcrum shoulders" just scream New Improved.
