What's new

Vintage Scent

I ordered a Semogue 620 from Vintage Scent a few weeks ago and it has yet to come in. I ordered and paid on 6 August and it said shipped on 6 August. Then it says shipped again on 13 August. It has yet to arrive in South Korea. Has anyone else had trouble getting things shipped from VS? I know things shipped from the US takes about a week to get to me.

I wouldn't call it a problem from Vintage Scent itself.

I ordered a package in the last week of May and received it in the last week of July. The stamp on the package said that it was mailed 1 day after I ordered. My package was not opened by customs. It was shipped airmail, it just got stuck somewhere between two post offices.

The funny bit is someone else bought around the same time and I was in the same situation than me. We both receive our packages in Melbourne around the same day...

As far as I'm concerned, Bruno did everything he could to get it down under quickly. The post office was the holding factor here... I wouldn't be too worried, it will turn up.

I like to remind Luc my VS brush took 11 days to the same country. In both cases our goods were shipped the same or next day after they were ordered. What happens then isn't within the vendors control.

This is all part of the fun of buying international...

I had a Razor with a frown honed by Bruno, and he did a great job honing it, found the after sales service very good and he shipped back promptly when finished.

Vintage Scent seems to mail things out promptly but it is after that the trouble begins. I was told by my post office people that their sending things out Registered Mail causes a hold up in customs.

However the last brush I received from them was here in under two weeks.

On the other side of things orders from China which is much further away arrive in just over a week but they are not sent Registered Mail.

I had great service from VS also.

The post held up one order for a few extra days. Good vendor in my book.

Yes, I wasn't talking about you... But you're on the other side of Australia... Much much closer to Portugal than me! :001_tt2:

Again, I would do business again with Vintage Scent, I was very happy with their service and it was not their fault if my order was delayed.

Ordered quite a few items from him. Great service and great products.

Anyone else tried the honing service and whats your experience with it?

I purchased a Semogue SOC brush from them a couple of months ago. It was shipped promptly although it took 10-14 days to get through customs and to my front door. I was very pleased with the service and have been delighted with the brush. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

I've had nothing but great service from Bruno. I've placed 3 different orders and all of them showed up in 1-2 weeks. It is probably customs more than anything that is causing the hold up.

Yep and I'm about to place another order in the next week or so too ! Shipping was extremely fast but like Luc said once it got into the country it took what seemed an eternity.....
I have nothing but praise for Bruno and Leon!

Seems I was mistaken. I finally was able to track down my package and it seems that it's been in New York for over a month. I arrived there on 11 August (about 6 days after I ordered) and has been somewhere since. I ordered another from vintage scent, so if the first comes in, provided I don't have any trouble with the second's shipping, I will be the proud owner of 2 Semogue 620s.
