Sorry about the poor quality image but I'm trying to gather any information about this razor.

Look underneath the head of the razor, can you read there 'D.R.Patent' and then a number? Then it is made pre WWII but Merkur made them also post WWII, then you won't find the 'D.R.Patent'-writing. The head of the razor has the design of a Progress, exept the bakelite part. These came with different handles, as 3-piece razors, some later ones have the handle like the current HD.

Not sure, but the box of this one looks like the one the Chessman-Slants came in, exept for the colour:

Nice looking razor. I wonder if the head is wartime, with some plastic or bakelite to save metal?

I agree with Oel about the box. FYI the chessman slants do not have "D.R.Patent" under the head. So I guess they are post-WWII?
