any body collect the everyday kind of shaving brushes they used in the 30s 40 and 50s, Ever ready, fuller and that sort. I'd love to meet some other vintage brush collectors

I have about 15 or 20. I like the handles but the bristles aren't the best. I even found a camping brush from the 50s that had straw bristles like a broom...WOW!!I have three, so far: 1 hardright, 1 ever-ready, 1 fuller.
I'm not collecting really, I just liked those brushes and the start of a collection was born.
Nice, very nice but they make mine look like street urchins, all mine are bakelite. I'll have to show some photos of mine soon.
with the exception of the first two on the bottom shelf, and the last one on the right on the next higher shelf, these are vintage brushes made & sold in the US. "Working men's brushes" - I like that!
Glad to meet you. I love using the old, everyday working mans brushes. Here's my little collection, I've used every one of them. No restorations, some are better shape than others. I just cleaned them up and use as is.
Great thread, man this is like finding Heaven!!!You've come to the right place. If you haven't looked yet, check out this thread for a whole slew of vintage brushes and the members collecting, restoring and using them.
