Does anyone else have this brush? I got mine a bit ago and I must say, it's not bad for $20. It has a bit of a tall loft, and is sort of loosely packed. It is not a stiff brush at all, and is ever-so-slightly scratchy. It's fairly lightweight, and has a wooden handle. Works decent for creams, not quite as well for soaps. I'll post a more elaborate review for it in the appropriate section.

It's my favorite budget badger. You're right, it works much better on creams than it does on soaps, but that's my general impression of most badger brushes I've owned.

I'll put it up against any other 20.00 Badger brush out there.

I've gotta thank Rob up there for this one. He brought it up at some point a few months back. It isn't really advertised, but you can call them up and order it deerectly from VDH. Just call them up, place the order, and send them a check for $23(shipping is $3). It's on the honor system, so don't screw them! I don't think we'd have that problem on this site, though.

Just ordered on this morning. I called and was told the brush would be sent today. That's a cool deal. Sent a money order this afternoon. Looking forward to it as it's another new adventure in shaving.

Speaking of marketing strategies ... has anyone seen the VdH brushes and bowls in a dark blue navy color rather than their traditional green? What's up with that?

I saw these at Walmart. Both the 3-piece bowl sets and the individual brushes are now navy blue, although they still come in the same green boxes.

Supposedly? How do you think we got ours? I think you may be on track with your idea about beta-testing. I didn't think to ask. It is a mixture of trimmed and untrimmed hair, as far as I can tell. I am having some trouble with the attachments, otherwise I'd have some pics up.

Fair enough! This is the internet, after all, where deceit seems to be the norm. I'd hate to tell people about something, only to find out some jackass from a forum was just tapping his thumbs, so to speak.
