Wow!

I'm not a stick or face lathering expert, but this stuff is fantastic!

De89 head on BRW Bull Mastiff Deluxe XXL handle, Gillette 7OC Black on 4th shave. 3-pass plus touchup

Fantastic DFS with no irritation at all. This stuff is definitely in the Tabac, Irisch Moos, Provence Sante class of soaps ... perhaps even better. I was blown away in a way I have not been with other sticks I've tried.

Valobra. Awesome. Not too expensive. Next time you reorder consider tossing one of these in your shopping cart.

Valobra is a classy shave stick. Globs of creamy lather and it makes my face feel conditioned afterwards.
I'm with Marco, I also need to get some La Toja next time.

So is Valobra better than La Toja? I recently started using La Toja and found that's it's good but not favorite. It performs like Speick to me but I still prefer Arko over all of them.

If you prefer Arko I think you'll enjoy Valobra. It's got a clean, vanilla-ivory soap type scent and the lather it makes is on-par as Arko, I'd say even slicker.

I should have known I'd get a response like this. You're all enablers! Now I'll have to add Valobra to my list of shave sticks to get...

Valobra and La Toja are very different, but equally excellent. I find that LT delivers the slickest lather of all of the soaps that I've tried, and Valobra delivers a Top 3 lather combining slickness and cushion that is comparable to the best of them.

I love Valobra, but for the price you can get 2 la Toja's and thats hard for me to justify. Also it kinda bummed me out that for the price you dont get a holder.

I love Valobra...hmm, suppose I will have to take up the Italian Barber on their sale for La Toja shave sticks. Thanks for the nudge guys! :badger:

Valobra shave stick is heads above Tabac, IM and PS, IMO.

I have to agree also. What do people think of DE vergulde hand shave sticks? You dont hear to much about it and this is also another one I want to try. Is this still in production? Anyone in the Netherlands wanna trade for a puck of VDH?

Is there an International Internet Enabler's Award of some sort? We should put B&B in for the big trophy!

On the one hand the Valobra stick is my gold standard shaving soap. The shave is as as good as with Tabac or Cella and the post-shave feeling is even better.

On the other hand I don't share the general enthusiasm about La Toja. The shave itself is good, but I feel my skin is dry and somehow torn afterwards. As far as tallowless products are concerned, I find Valobra Menthol, Martin de Candre, or even Proraso and most Italian croaps for that matter, are far better.

Naturally ther is a YMMV aspect to consider and I understand the LT reputation among those with a normal to oily skin.

Have a good shave.

Valobra stick was the first stick I bought. Glad it was as it convinced me of how nice shave sticks really are.

I am on deck with everyone else with La Toja and Valobra being top shelf.

They "almost" rival Arko which for me is the best stick I have tried as far as lather, slick, and overall consistent performance.
