Valobra stick compared to the soft soap?

Very small stick and good enough to make you want to use it alot. However, I can not remember the last time I used anything all the way up. Just keep adding. Never have tried their soft soap. I believe it is tallow free

I haven't tried the Valobra soft soap, but it seems to get some decent press around here. You ought to try the Cella shave soap/cream. I put this stuff in the same league as the Valobra stick and it has tallow to boot :thumbup1:

I used the soft soap today, not as good as the stick. I suggest Cella like JKH suggested or stick with the stick again.

Haven't tried either but both get pretty good press around here. If your curious about the soft soap, then the best thing to do would be to just tried it if you ask me.

I have the Valobra Almond soft soap and I like it a lot. I thought it was non-tallow, however I recently noticed that shavingessentials.biz lists it as tallow based:

I don't know, but either way it is good. I haven't tried the stick yet, but it is high on my to try list.

Hmm, maybe John was thinking of the shave stick, but I've seen the ingredients listed elsewhere and there's no-tallow, not that that is a bad thing because there's many fine soaps out there that don't contain it.

Thanks all for the imput

I had some Cella a while back but gave it to a friend I will have to order that again and the soft Valobra

That is a misprint.

Yeah I was always under the impression that the Valobra soft was a non tallow, but then I noticed that at SE and I was confused. Thanks for clearing that up fellas. Also, good to see an ingrediant list as the box the soft comes in doesn't list anything.

The stick & the soft soap are 2 different entities in terms of performance & scent IMO. The soft soap is not even in the same league. If one ever wanted to make a case for tallow vs. veggie this would be the perfect match-up.

I would stick with the stick :thumbup1:

The shave stick is my favorite shave soap (not a cream guy), and I've tried a lot. The soft soap lathers very easily gives almost as good a shave. However, I couldn't take the smell of the latter -reminded me of Torrone (nougat and almond) candy.
