Update: I'm getting better

Just to let everyone know, I'm still straight shaving. I usually only do it on weekends or days that I'm off, because it still takes so long. But I'm getting better all the time.

I've maybe shaved about 6-8 times with the razor (not sure exactly how many), but I've finally found the "routine" to use (the motions and angles of the blade). And it yields a DFS shave.

I'm still not as good as I am with a DE, but it certainly is a wonderful change of pace, and I'm getting better each time I try.

Keep at it, Sir. Congrats:wink2:

Just like me, it took me quite some time to do a straight shave but not I'm almost taking as long as when I shave with a DE!

Good work!

I think it took me about three months. After I could get a presentable shave, I quit with the DE and went solely with the straight. I figured if i wanted a BBS shave, i was going to get it with the straight even though I could do with the DE. It worked out well. I think it was about a couple of months in when I was better with the straight than the DE.

There were a lot of frustrating days, I don't like feeling any bit of stubble, even if it's not visibly noticeable.
