Unusual Trapezoidal Gillette Case 1920's Set

Hello Everyone,

I just purchased this set yesterday from a nice lady online. So I don't have it yet. I was familiar with it from the entry on Mr-Razor.com, and from what I know it is a fairly uncommon (rare?) set. I believe that this set is the only one that used the trapezoidal case.

It isn't in that great of condition, but it was only $26 including shipping so I thought I'd pick it up. In the last couple months I have hesitated about buying certain razors and then when I finally decide to pull the trigger they're gone. So I just said "what the heck" and bought it before I lost my chance.

I actually have a spare blade case that is correct for this set that I'll be able to stick in there. Yay!

I was just wondering if anyone has any information on it, such as what the set was called? I looked on razorarchive.com and searched through the ads from the 1920's and didn't see anything.

Wow Congrats that set does seems to be in Great Shape is right, I have one or two of these sets, They are pretty Rare, but show up on ebay every now and then, but not in such great shape like yours.

When i say rare its more like not to common, but yes they do show up every now and then )
