slather
I ordered an unscented pre-poured jar of HBS (HoneyBee Spa Soap) the other day and got a chance to use it today for the first time. While lathering my face I noticed a stinging sensation on my upper lip, before I started using the razor. I continued shaving, got a DFS, comfortable and smooth, but I do have some red areas on my face now (upper lip around nose area and some on my cheeks).
I do have sensitive skin but I have tried many creams and soaps before from the big names (Proraso, Musgo, Nivea, TOBS, Provence Sante, etc.) not to mention many goop-in-a-can brands and never experienced a bad reaction.
I had high hopes for this soap based on the reviews here, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to work for me. The idea of a small business taking on the big soap makers appealed to me.
Any ideas what ingredient in the soap might be causing this (the soap is unscented, so it's not the fragrance/essential oil)?
