Unknown Montblanc Fountian Pen. Please Help

Hello, I have recently received my grandfathers fountain pen and a mechanical pencil. I'm more interested in the pen. I know its a Montblanc and it was made in West Germany. It says M/14ct on the little sticker and 14K 585 on the nib. I've done some googling and looked on the website but haven't found any matches, i believe it's a bit dated.. Any tips on what the model or history is would be greatly appreciated! I know nothing of pens :p but since the aquisition of this piece I am very interested!

Looks like the "Classic" made in the eighties, patterned after the No.12 and 22 from the seventies which were integrated piston fillers.

Hard to search for "Montblanc Classic" because it's a commonly used term. Nice find! I imagine it's a smooth writer, it reminds me a bit of a MonteRosa I once had.

The difference in models of this type over the years are very small.
You'll have to look at a bunch of pictures.
In the 60's and 70's you would have models like 221 or 320 that look similar.
Those became the Classic models and then the Generations models.
I'll bet Doug is right and it fits in with the Classic model line.

I have a 320 that is very similar. Believe me when I say that if you stack them all up together you have a hard time guessing which is which.
My 320 is a piston filler so I'll bet yours comes after that.

In any case, they are very nice and you ought to get them inked up and ready to roll!
