Unique shave setting...

I was recently at my cabin in northern Saskatchewan. I thought I would ammuse myself by rising at the crack of dawn and go for a nice quiet paddle in the canoe. With me I brought my DE89, the Mighty Midget, and Proraso (green)cream. Also a thermos of warm water, my travel shave mirror a set of binoculars and a nice, strong, hot, black coffee. The sky was firey orange with purple and red clouds painted across. The water like glass. Not a breath of wind as a chilly mist falling to the surface of the lake seemed to induce relaxing thoughts. I paddled to a the mouth of a small channel that connects two of the three bodies of water that make up the lake, where the only beaver lodge on the lake was and still is active after 30 years of me visiting my northern retreat. I set my anchor there. Loons skimmed by me, ducks and geese flew by chattering "good moring". A bald eagle sat atop a dead pine watching intently the Northern pike that were jumping out of the water to eat the insects landing on the surface. The great blue herron, a hundred feet above vanished over the treeline. A beaver swam by me, a few feet from my canoe as if to check and see that my lather was nice. It was. And so was the setting. There's nothing like a good canoe shave to begin the day.:biggrin1:

Have any of you shaved in any odd or unique settings?

Great story. I could just picture it having been in a similar setting but never shaving in it. Beats any story I have about shaving in my bathroom every morning before work.
Thanks.

Can't think of a better way to start a peaceful and relaxing day. Of course with my luck I would have been harassed by a critter or two...and given where I live, it probably would be a curious, yet hungry 7ft reptile.

Thanks for the idea. I believe I may need to go shave while sitting in my deer blind Saturday morning. I'll be up on the family hunting property all weekend.
