Keep it simple. Only use Chinese Schicks (yellow package). Ride the guard (Schick built-in the correct angle) and simply shave. The whole point of the injector is simplicity. Please note that the L does not shave as well as any of its predecessors. The chrome head doesn’t glide as well as the brass of the J, G or E. For the ultimate injector experience try an E2.

I personally haven't noticed a chrome razor head doesn't glide as well on a soapy face as does brass. But if it is so, I wonder why that would be?

I only shave at the sink, but the handle gets wet just like all my handles.
