Same blade. The bottom picture is the newer packaging.

Today I tried going to the www.asrco.com website and could not find it. A google search does not indicate another website. Wonder what is happening.

I could not notice any difference between them. Great blades regardless of packaging.

I read at http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=51858 that Personna claims they do not manufacture these fine blades even though the packaging says they do. I wonder if Personna (American Safety Razor Co.) doesn't make them, who does?

According to Reuters news online, Energizer, the parent company of razor maker Schick Wilkinson Sword, is the winning bidder for ASR, having bid $301,000,000. The winning bid was confirmed by the bankruptcy court on October 8th.

I received a 100 count pack of the IP Red's from John at WCS just a few days ago and I asked him why the (different) packaging says they are made in Mexico. I also said to him that they do not say "Made in Israel" like the older ones did. John explained to me that the blades are indeed the same Israeli made blades (as stated on the master carton) and then they are shipped off to Mexico where they are put into smaller packages and labeled in their Mexican motif. He said they were geared for the South American market, but he reassured me that they are indeed the same blade. I have not tried one of these yet, but shall do so shortly.

This is correct information, no changes on blades only packaging.
