So I recently came into some double edged razors that have been in the family a while. I've been shaving DE for a while and in the last year I've taken up straight edge razors at the weekend (when I've got the time!)
So the two I've recently acquired as as follows:
The first is - as you can see - a Darwin. Though the Reg No. is visible on the other side, I know very little about these razors other than people seem to think they're something special. (Sorry if I sound like a luddite when it comes to these!)
And the other one is a Gillette. I really like this one as the top of it opens up in a sort of awesome mechanism to put a new blade in. Plus theres a twisty bit on the handle that lets you alter the angle of the blade on a scale of 1-9. Which is quite awesome. Probably junk and ten a penny but I like it.
Any info on either razor is much appreciated. I know they're in terrible condition as they've been sat in a drawer for about 20 years (my dad moved on to cartridge razors a LONG time ago! Shame shame!)
Cheers to anyone for any info.
EDIT: Just discovered the Gillettes a TTO and common as muck. Still - never mind!
