What's new

turned my dovo round point in to a square point

i got this with other blades when i bought a razor of a member and the point irritated me i hated it so i spent some time on the wet wheel last night and made it a semi square point. ide call it a spanish point but there is only a hint of that i was using to large a wheel for that

Scales are easy. Choose a forgiving material and you will be rewarded with the satisfaction of a great looking razor!

I like the new version better than the old. The old one looks like Dovo upside-downed a french-point. Nice work!

I really like the square point, but I think it will look really professionally done if you round over the top corner (spine) just ever so slightly. Maybe a 1/8" radius or so.

That's a much better shape. I would be interesetd in how you did that - is it just a standard grinding wheel? I've only ever used a low number hone for changing the shape of the toe end (this was when a square point was damaged and I had to round it off) but I was told to beware of using wheels near the edge. You don't seem to have had any problems.
