Tüff Rasierwasser herb

We have had some posts about Tüff Sensitiv here in B&B, but there doesn't seem to be much info available about its red-capped brother - Tüff Herb. Can anyone describe its scent and how much time does it last?
Thanks,

Tueff - what a weird name, is this a left over from the GDR times (I mean the name - it sounds so typical German Democratic Rep.).

I'll let you know in a couple of days, Captain. I've tracked down a bottle and it's in transit now. The seller tells me it's basically a stronger version of the Sensitiv. We shall see.

Thanks Rob. I left a message in Ram's Profile page but I guess somehow he didn't see it.

Sorry about this delayed response, i just missed this topic somehow. I really love the Tuff Herb A/S, and concur with Captain's description of the scent. It is very mild but somehow i get slight whiffs of the scent even after an hour or two of first putting it on. The best part is its healing properties, very similar to Speick. It is among the top five A/S for me, well worth the effort to hunt one down.

Hey, somebody emptied my bottle and replaced it with a 50/50 concoction of Pitralon and 4711!

Seriously, though, if I had to sum up the scent in one sentence that would be it. I'm not too impressed unfortunately. It does leave your face feeling nice with little burn, if that's your style. :thumbdown

Rob, sorry to hear it did not work out for you. I find it interesting that you find the smell similar to Pitralon and 4711, are you talking about the Swiss version of Pitralon or any of the other variants.

I still don't know what to make of it... Sometimes first essays are deceitful, so another try seems imperative. But I don't think I'm gonna use it again until the end of the month-long journey...

Smells more like the German Pitralon than the Swiss. I gave it two shots, because I too wanted to give it a chance. It just didn't move me much.

I used it today after a Musgo Real shave. It frankly smelt better. Even if it's not my favourite scent I think I'll use it more often. But you're right, Rob: that stuff really feels good on your skin!

You know, I've been liking the scent more and more lately. The Pitralon was an acquired taste to me too, and I find myself liking this Tuff more than I do Pitralon. I really can't overestimate how great this stuff feels, even if the scent is a little wonky. Will I ever purchase another bottle? I can't say for sure... ask me in another five years.
