Trumper's Wild Fern

Gents
Just back from a wedding in London and got a chance to take a race into Jermyn Street. Sadly, Floris, TOBS, DR Harris (around the corner) and GFT were all closed on the May Bank Holiday Monday. Had to restrain myself from breaking in!

While gazing longingly into GFT (just off Jermyn St and v closeto the old site) I noticed a 'Wild Fern' range. Is this new? I haven't seen it mentioned on the board.

Many thanks.

Def looked like the complete range. Pretty sure I saw the bath soaps and shaving soap in a bowl. The range was all presented in a wicker basket and looked amazing.

Please say it is true! I've had pretty good luck with Trumper's shaving soaps. And I really like their Wild Fern cologne. I e-mailed them a number of months ago asking if they had any plans to offer their shaving soap in their Wild Fern scent. At that time, they said they did not. I hope they changed their mind!

Agreed. I find Pen's English Fern okay but not better than Trumpers Limes or Coconut.

Absolutely, Andrew. It looked awesome. Unfortunately I hadn't a camera on me otherwise I'd have taken a snap.

Thanks for the replies.

I've only tried Pen's older formulation of EF shaving soap and the newer formulated BB shaving soap. The newer formulated BB is the worst shaving soap I have ever tried. But the older formulation of EF works better for me than Trumpers. So, I guess our experience is a little different. But that isn't to say that Trumper's is bad. It is a very fine soap. And if they were to offer it in Wild Fern ... I can only hope!

Hope, but don't count on it. They have several fragrance ranges with shampoo, bath soap, edt, etc, but no shaving products. I'm thinking of wild fern, bay rum, GFT (no soap), and Eucris. I'd love to try Trumpers Bay Rum soap.

Idea: what about setting up a poll thread asking about interest in a wild fern shave soap that we can forward as a petition?

Good point, Beginish, but could have sworn it was a shaving soap box among the collection in the basket. I have the Violet and Rose and limes soaps and I'm sure this was the same box packaging that they came in.

Of course now I'm beginning to doubt myself. But I could swear...

I would be very happy to be wrong about this. Shavedom is out of balance without a Fern soap that can be lathered.

Nice.
I'm in!

I would not complain if Trumper's decided to offer either Wild Fern or Bay Rum in SS form, they are both terrific.

Only one good way to settle this -- any of our friends in London want to swing by the shop?
