Uploaded with ImageShack.usI bought mine in January. I think that, for the money, there are better options. This said, I am quite satisfied with this brush. The handle is beautifully made and the weight in your hand clearly shows quality. The loft feels like velvet and is rather floppy (I don't say this as something necessarily negative, BTW). It is a classical English brush, wonderful for lathering creams in a bowl providing a sensation of luxury. Pair it with some 1805 and you are in for a treat. Soaps and facelathering?....well, it can work, but as I said there are better options for the money.
Hi Legionensis and All,
How does the "floppiness" and backbone feel compared to, say, a Simpsons Duke 3 Best Badger? I enjoy my Duke 3 and am curious how it compares.
Thanks!

For me it's comparable - except the T&H brush is a tad softer to the face.
I don't own a Duke 3, but I do own a Commodore 3 in best badger. The T&H is way floppier in my opinion. The hair is much softer, but the knot has nowhere the density of a Simpsons brush, and therefore it offers much less backbone.
If I had to choose I would choose the Commodore.....the great thing is that I DONT have to choose. The T&H is a quality brush though, and offers a luxurious sensation that I find very nice.
