What's new

Truefitt and Hill

Lately I've been looking to find a new product line (currently I've been using the Art of Shaving). It seems like Truefitt and Hill gets a lot of praise and I like the 1805 scent. However, I'm debating whether I should get the 1805 cream and matching ASB or the Ultimate Comfort cream and ASB(I have rather sensitive skin). Which one seems to be more gentle?

I'm a fan of the the T&H UC, although I use 1805 too. The UC has a light lavender scent and provides a nice slick lather. You should probably order their sample package, before dropping $$$. And remember B&B members receive a very generous 20% discount through T&H.

REALLY!!!??? How do we take advantage of that discount.

If I remember correctly, you enter a code at checkout, and I think it's BB10???

The Ultimate Comfort is probably better for sensitive skin.

Correct, it is BB10.

I second the recommendation about a sampler pack. That was my first introduction to their products, and it allowed me to cheaply figure out what I liked best.

The only problem you'll find with the sample pack is that you wind up liking numerous scents, and have to choose one or buy many. 1805 and Grafton were my favorites.

Ahhh...so the BB10 code is just for us. I was wondering, I found it online elsewhere and posted it in another thread because I wasn't sure. Good to know. The shipping still sucks but I went ahead and ordered 2 full tubs early this morning. If I get a sampler, I'll probably want them all. And if I don't like one of the scents I bought, you'll see it in the BST.

Thanks for all the relpies (especially for letting me know about the discount). I definately will go with the sampler (and you're right that I will end up liking more than one). I already like Trafalgar, 1805, and Grafton. Before I know it my bathroom will look like a Truefitt and Hill store. Thanks again and happy holidays!

I find the UC thickens a LOT more/faster than the 1805. Having said that, all creams from T&H are very thick/slick. The smell is all right, but if that's important to you, gun for 1805. Of course, I only say that because I LOVE it. I have the hand/body soap, shaving cream, aftershave balm and cologne.

I just love it.

I wasn't too impressed with the UC cream compared to other T&H creams. Grafton is my favorite, along with 1805 and Almond. Also have the 1805 cologne.
Despite enjoying the scent, I find the 1805 cream doesn't cushion as well as Grafton or Almond (or most other T&Hs, come to think of it, and I've tried them all).
Any T&H is still well above average, though, so you can't go too wrong. Sampler is a good idea but if you can afford it, I always found that I much prefer getting any cream out of a large tub to getting it out of a thimble (am I the only one who feels that?). I passed on Grafton after sampling it, but plunged sometime later after reading rave reviews, and I'm glad I did. Good luck!

I use all, the AOS creams and ASB, as well as T&H UC, Trafalgar, and 1805 creams and ASB. I find the UC cream to be the gentlest cream I use on my skin, followed by the AOS lavender.

T&H is great stuff and the discount they give us is a great gesture. There is also a discount code out right now for their shaving brushes.. Brush6

If it wasn't for their expensive international shipping, I would have ordered some Grafton and UC tubs of cream. Pity, really, as the discount is quite for a top tier product.

Wow members of this forum get TH discounts? Awesome I love Truefitt and Hills West Indies Limes, the scent reminds me so much of my vacation spot in Daytona Beach Florida.
