This evening I was ready for my shave. Being retired I shave at the most 3 times a week, or whenever needed. I found I was running late and decided to do a faster than usual shave. I usually take a good 20 to 30 minutes for a shave, but being a bit rushed I opted for a brushless cream. I've always used Cremo shave cream which has proved to be really nice for such a shave. I forgot that I had used up my tube of Cremo, and searching through my gear I found a tube of Clubman brushless shave cream that had been tucked away for about 18 months. I used the Clubman for the shave and found that it was even better than the Cremo which I'd used before for quick shaves. I applied it to my face, and used my Merkur Slant for the shave, followed by a quick touch up with my straight. When all was said and done I found the shave using the Clubman to be much smoother and with less irritation than with the Cremo. All in all it was a really nice shave, and I don't believe I'll be using the Cremo again. I found the Clubman to me far better all around, and it also has a much better smell.
Just wondering if any other members have used both the Cremo and the Clubman, and if they too have found the Clubman to be a better brushless cream. IMHO anyone looking for a quick brushless cream for the hurried shave, should give the Clubman a try.
