Traveling to Vancouver, BC

Hi All,

My girlfriend and I are heading up to Vancouver tomorrow to enjoy a few days' vacation in the rain. I'm bringing my DE (unloaded) and am curious if Shoppers Drug Mart sells any DE blades. I looked up drugstores near our hotel and there's one right nearby. I'm bringing some travel disposables just in case but I'd prefer to use my DE. Cheers!

I don't know if Shoppers has any DE blades. London Drugs only carries Wilkinson Swords. The best shaving supplies can be found at Momentum Grooming on Burrard. If you're staying downtown it's within walking distance.

^ Some Shoppers carry the same Wilkinsons as London Drug, but both stores are expensive (about $1.20/blade after tax). Momentum seems to have the best local selection and prices.

Check out the wiki for more local info.

Enjoy your visit!

London drugs doesnt carry them here anymore either. A few grocery stores carry de blades but they are ~$15 for 10 blades.

I was going to post the Wiki link! :thumbup1:

Rexall/I.D.A. carries DE blades which are actually re-branded Personna Platinum Chrome blades. They retail for about $4 / pack of five blades. I use these when I travel to Toronto to visit family and find they perform quite well.

Van doesn't have Rexall or IDA =0

shoppers drug mart has them. they are expensive.
London Drugs is like shoppers drug mart, they have them but are expensive as well.
at least a $1 a blade.

there is no Walmart in Vancouver. And definitely not one near downtown vancouver.
The closet one is in a neighbouring city; ie. burnaby, surrey, richmond.

Welcome to BC! hopefully it stops raining soon =s

Like I said, I have never been there, but the link with map, address, and telephone number seems to lead to a Walfart being in Vancouver.

Thanks for all the replies. I went to Shoppers (just up the hill from my hotel) and picked up some Wilkinson's. They certainly don't give them away but I figure it's a far better option than the disposable sensor 3's I picked up at the Target before I left.

Both Walmart and Rexall/IDA are now in Vancouver.
Downtown there's a Rexall in Royal Centre Mall near the Burrard Street Skytrain.
Walmart is in Vancouver, but not downtown. They moved into the old Costco location near Grandview & Boundary.
