I received my Tradere from Phil yesterday, and all I can say is WOW! IMHO, this razor hits the sweet spot between aggressiveness and smoothness. It's my first open comb, and I can definitely see why so many like this style of razor.
The fit and finish are superb...the razor is nice to simply look at. I loaded a med prep, lathered up with P160 (forgoing the Prorasso for one shave) and went at it.
I was a little leery, because my last experience with an aggressive razor was the R41, and that thing tore me up. I soon realized that the Tradere is completely tame, but still manages to mow down a beard like a M1 Abrams tank with a PO'd driver.
One little weeper on my chin when I wasn't paying attention, otherwise a 3 pass BBS shave with the first try.
Just an amazing razor. Can't wait to try the solid bar and slant models. Kudos to the Tradere folks, a superb razor, made in the USA!
