I think they use the same cartridge that Dollar General sells. The DG blades are excellent. They are the sharpest Trac II/Atra compatibles I have used. The swivel is a little odd. It only swings one way.

99 Cent Stores sells the exact same Dorco made Atra/Trac II compat carts for $1 for 10. That's 10 cents each. Best price I have seen thus far.

They would probably work OK for traveling but I would rather use a DE for normal daily shaving. My experience with Dorco DE blades are that they are serviceable but not the greatest. Ten for a dollar US isn't any pricier than decent DE blades, though. I just paid $9.55 shipped for 100 Astra green blades (9.55 cents each). Derbys are cheaper (about $8 per hundred) but I found them to be crappy blades for their intended use.

This should be in the Single Edge sub-section of safety razors.

Actually these blades have two blades built into a disposable cartridge. Therefore this is the correct section for this thread although the carts themselves look vastly different than what we usually discuss here.

The following is a quote from moderator gearchow when discussing the possibility of a cartridge sub-forum:

"Sorry, but I don't get it. If you use a cart, that is fine by me. But what is there to a cart razor to talk about? The thousand of different blades you can try? No. The hundreds of different kind of razors - mild to aggressive, fixed to adjustable, ancient to just made? No. As far as I can see, there is nothing to talk about using a cart razor other then the fact that you use one. At least nothing that fills up a subform.

But as a cart user, you can still contribute and gain from shaving soap/cream, brushes, aftershaves, colognes, etc.

So if you need to get this out of your system, start a thread in the SE forum (because a cart is the direct descendant of the Schick injector, not a DE) with the title "Cart Razor Users Unit!" and see how far that take you."
