A Tony Miller vs. a Kanayama is like a Wedge vs. a Full Hollow IMO. It is worth having both :)

I have a TM Latigo which is my only strop for the last ~2 years.

Been wanting to try the Steerhide for awhile, maybe ill get in on his October run :)

absolutely!!!!

and I highly recommend the Ambrose cordovans as well!! yowza!!!

glad to see barbershop styles from TM (yep I ordered one).. .. since getting the kanayama a few weeks ago (and the Ambrose which is same style) I am starting to prefer the handle-less strops more and more - I have so much more control of the leather IMO

I'm an unabashed sucker for his handles  All 4 of mine have them. Yes I am a fanboy .

haha

OH, I'm not getting rid of my steerhide/linen handled TM anytime soon! Just becoming a huge fan of holding the leather/linen on its' own. was a bit reticent when buying the kanayamas - now I'm hooked on old barbershop strops - bidding like a madman on a # of NOS ones on ebay! Fortunately I've yet to win one LOL

...but when I saw the new TM strops were barbershop style I clicked buy before I even knew what hit me..... sheesh Razor AD, Strop AD, Hone AD, not to mention endless soaps, pre/post shave products, fragrances ad infinitum - when does it end?

thank god I'm already a bachelor or else I'd certainly have become one the last few months!

damn enablers lol "Kanpai!"
:a17:

I have the premium steerhide in 3" and in the 2" travel strop. They have the nicest light draw of any cowhide strop I know. The only way to get a lighter draw is horsehide.
