TOMY blades. Anyone?

I noticed them the other day. With the vendor saying they are Israeli Personnas and the unbranded blade and plain wrapper, I'm wondering if they are the same as the Tesco blades we get over here?

Wow, no markings on the blade or blade wrapper. That makes me a bit nervous. The price is certainly good. I hope someone gives it a shot and reports back.

Yes, that is strange--particularly considering the box design is pretty classy.

And do you have to be blind to use them?

Israeli Personnas are available as own-brand blades from a few retailers in the UK and they are all unmarked blades in a plain wrapper. And they are very good blades too.

I've got that sampler coming in the next couple of days. I'll try one and post my results.
The vendor sure has a great price on the 100-count package.

Hopefully those of you trying them can report back here. I'm subscribing to this thread because I saw them and have wondered myself what they are.

I ordered a sample pack of Tomy blades (and QBall and Viking Sword). I have used the Tomy and Viking Sword blades. They are sharp and very comfortable. The shave results were good leaving me with zero irritations.

Did you tried the Q-Balls meanwhile ?

OK, I put a Viking Sword from the sampler in a '40's S/S, and shaved with it twice now.
My opinion: A better-than-mid grade blade.
Pretty sharp, pretty smooth, noticeably smoother on the second shave.

Next I'll put Q-Ball and Tomy in the rotation and update.

I got six great shaves off the Q-Ball (same blue/white "Super Platinum" wrapper as the Crystal IP's) blade in a Gillette NEW LC.
First shave with the TOMY blade in an Edwin Jagger DE89 was great: BBS, no nicks, no weepers, excellent!

The Q-Ball blades are excellent indeed, I purchased them together with the Tomy. Didn't try the Tomy yet next week I i'll put one in my Tech.
