What's new

todays score

bought these from a super cool guy I found on craigslists today. I wish I hadnt shaved last night as to give them a try! The red one is a J.A. Henkels. I just started wet shaving a week ago and am already up to 3 razors.

I'm going to give the black one a shot today see how it shaves. Pretty excited. One thing though is there is no wedge in the W&B, the scale just kinda rounds over in replace of it. I don't know if that's normal but it seems kind of cheapy. I think I am gonna try to make new scales for it if i can find acrylic near by in less then 48inx96in sheets. That or I could just make the worlds largest scales!

Good for you. Keep it up. We are all saving them from certain distruction. People will eventually throw them away or break them. Makes me crazy to think about that.

Lowes has small pieces of acrylic. Nice scores. They multiply quickly.

The Henckels will be a most excellent shaver. The W&B Smiley is a very nice looking razor, and while smileys can be challenging to hone, it, too, will shave well if honed properly. Both are truly excellent scores and you probably have guys salivating over the two of them now. Enjoy their envy, and your razors.

Yeah I'm pretty sure when its time to hone the W&B I'll be sending that out till I get a lil more practice. Maybe it's just me but it seems a bit different to shave with too. I might put her aside till I am a little more learned.
