TOBS wooden shave bowl

Hello,

I'm a newbie DE shaver and I was thinking about purchasing TOBS lavender shaving soap in the wooden bowl. I was wondering if the wooden shave bowl is compatible with other soaps in case I don't like the lavender from TOBS. Also can you recommend some other soaps/ creams that you like to use. I'm currently using Proraso shaving cream in green tube.

I would recommend AOS Sandalwood. It is the best I have used

You could always mill any hard soap into the bowl. D.R. Harris soaps fit in there pretty well, I'm going to see if Penhaligon's fits in there as well.

Some soaps will fit, others won't. The one's that don't you can simply mill so it fits. You could also get soft soaps, like Cella. You can just mould that in to the desired shape.
Oh, BTW, obviously other TOBS soaps will fit !
