Time for another straight

Hey guys,
A while back, when acquisition disorder hit me hard, I purchased my first straight. That straight and I did not get along. It loved cutting me up. It was eventually honed by a member here but I still could not get a good shave with it. It pissed me off and I got rid of it. I know think that I am ready to try my hand at straight razor shaving again. I know that Larry is typically the first recommended source to get newbie straights. I was wondering if there was another place where I can pick up a cheapo straight that is shave ready that I was not aware of. Being a student, means having a small budget so naturally I have to be sure that I want to spend that $50 bucks I'd need to spend at Whipped Dog.

Sometimes a honed starter razor deal pops up on the buy/sell/trade. But if you want it now, you might have to go the WD route.

The cheapest route is to find one in the wild for little money and send it off to be honed. I'd still counsel you to just go the Whipped Dog approach.
