I tend to look at bakelite like some posters think of stainless steel so even though I suspected it would fly away when serious bakelite collectors found it I placed a small bid on a Gillette razor stand. Perhaps it was the misleading auction title or the blurry pictures, but instead of £20 0r £30 I've seen them go for before, my bid was enough. I waited until it arrived before saying enough, and it's perfect (tho could do with a polish).

It's on my desk for now. sporting 2 packs of Gillette blades any a 49 Rocket.

don't know if you are aware, but this is the full set to which it belongs. a hard to find set.

don't know if you can tell from the photo; but, it's a 4 piece tech; the handle is composed of 2 pieces which screw together.
