Things I Like......

I thought it might be interesting to see what things in wet shaving people like so I'll start.
I like extra hollow ground straight razors. I like good boar brushes Semogue or Omega. I also like Franks Shaving badger brushes, the ones I have are very nice. I like fan shaped knots on a brush. I don't get the attraction of bulb shaped knots at all.

I like Cella, Arko, Castle Forbes alot. I like Alum blocks, it let's me know how my shave went. I like all the Gillette 7 oclock blades.

I like to hone straight razors on synthetic stones, naturals, or lapping films. I enjoy variety. I really like Strops, my new Tony Miller arrived the other day and it is a thing of beauty. I have eight Strops now.

I like scuttles in the winter, not so much now. I like the vendors who supply our needs. Overall the customer service is outstanding. I have yet to have a bad experience. All I can think of right now. How bout you?

I like rubbing my bbs face all day long.
I like Proraso splash on a hot day.
I like Mystic Water Rosalimone soap in the summer.
I like trying new razors and blades.

Although I love the smell of Western Indian Limes

I like the way Merkur 39c with a feather blade sounds as it slices through the hairs
I like using the DE89L to buff my face
I like splashing on aftershave on my BBS face

I like old inexpensive drugstore aftershaves, especially the Pinaud line.
I like being a "throwback." A colleague called me that when he saw me writing with a fountain pen. Little did he know how right he was.
I like the look of the Gillette New Improved in silver, even if I don't own one (yet).

I like only shaving once or twice a week (a little stubble is good and makes me appreciate each shave more)

i like dr Harris Marlborough products (all of them)
I like not bleeding

I like the feeling of a clean shave, a crisp shirt and a full Windsor knot as I step out the door

I like almost all of Pinaud's products. (No Veg)
I like Simpsons brushes.
I like D.R. Harris.
I like splashes.
I like a mixture of sharpness & smoothness in blades.
I like Artisan soaps such as Mystic Waters & Mike's Naturals.
I like luxury products & low priced products equally. Erasmic gets the same love that Harris does for the most part.
I like trying international grooming products (I usually do my best to buy American in most other instances), whether it be from Germany, England, Russia ect. I really wanna try any Nordic products that are available. I mean, how interesting would it be if you could try Icelandic products?

I like the existance of this forum where we can BS about such trivial boring thing like shaving, making it exciting.
I like the existence and availability of so many shaving products to choose from.
I like shaving after work as an anti-stress therapy, to feel clean shaved and to smell good for myself.
I like varieties - I don't know what brush, razor, soap, AS I'll use for my shave to the last moment.

i like that shaving is now enjoyable.
I like trying all the different blades.
I like seeing my shave improve with my technique.
I like that I now have a fun hobby instead of a chore.

I like clean brushes - we've really hard water round here
I like shavesticks
I like aftershave lotions - especially those that burn
I like Boots - their products aren't always the cheapest or best but they're dependable
