The Wonderful Tuckaway

Amazing that this razor from the 1920s has held up so well. This is one of the lesser seen Gillette Tuckaway variants -- at least in my experience. A great set for traveling -- one that I would appreciate more than the modern stainless razors that have found such favor among our fellows lately. Can't someone find a way to fabricate one like this beauty?

That is a really lovely looking razor. The pattern on the box gives the whole thing a nice art deco look.

Now that pretty razor is a different looking Tuck-A-Way, mine must have been through a war or 2 but it is still a pretty razor.:thumbup1:

I only paid a few bucks for mine at an antique store and I thought that it was nothing special until I posted pics when I got home of all the razors that I had purchased that day and everybody commented on wishing that they had that tuck-a-way. Well I did some research and found out that it was very collectible, several were going upwards of $200.00 or even more. I guess a pretty good find for $15.00.

Jake

You truly are the man with all the razors! Another beautiful razor.

I recently bought a traditional silver Tuckaway and it is a classy looking piece.

Cheers
