I have two stainless steel razors coming in the mail a facherbeit and dovo inox... can't wait to see how differently they hone than a carbon.
It would be interesting to hear you experience with these two. It would also be interesting to know if there is any difference between the two.I have two stainless steel razors coming in the mail a facherbeit and dovo inox... can't wait to see how differently they hone than a carbon.
I've heard this from a lot of people that the face feel is definitely different than a carbon steel. When I've heard them say that usually it's with a negative tone so I am a little worried hahaIt would be interesting to hear you experience with these two. I have one Dovo Inox. I did not like what my jnat's did to this steel. It took a really nice coticule edge.
The shapton glass stones also did a much better job then my Naniwa stones.
This steel does feel different on your face then your typical carbon steel.

I've only shaved with a Heljestrand and several Friodurs, and all of them had lovely face feel. And required no additional effort to hone.
I think the inox arrives tomorrow so I am excited!I've only shaved with a Heljestrand and several Friodurs, and all of them had lovely face feel. And required no additional effort to hone.
Different doesn't have to be negative.I've heard this from a lot of people that the face feel is definitely different than a carbon steel. When I've heard them say that usually it's with a negative tone so I am a little worried haha
That’s the facherbeit im getting the old stockDifferent doesn't have to be negative.
There is also probably a difference between the manufacturers. I would like to try a Friedhor stainless.
This old stock Facharbeit is something I am interested in. Where I live they are too expensive. I need to find a used one.
I’ve been having real good success with stropping heavy, I used to be a light stripper but I’ve always gotten better results stripping heavy so stainless will be good fit for me I thinkIf you don’t have the patience to handle Stropping,
It is impossible to enjoy the shaving feeling of INOX, it takes time to understand the truth.
