Walking by a case In an antique store and low and behold there sat a vintage, glass bottle of The Veg 1/3 full. Owner said it was from 1930's/ 1940's....

1940s may be about right. That phrase '"Curtains" to cobwebs" from the back label showed up in a print ad: Esquire 1940, vol. 14 p. 146 (via google books). Unfortunately google only has snippet view, but what I can read matches closely.

I put it on after shaving today and when we got in the car to run to the store my wife was like "what the heck did you buy this time Jason ...." I was like "just some new stuff that cost hardly nothing, why?" She was then like "cause I think it's my favorite one so far. ..."

I have officially been chosen!!!

To answer the question.... it still smells great!!!
