well... a few days ago I proudly announced winning a nice little Simpson off dbay - paid too much, other contenders, you know how it goes. Anyhow, today the Snowman arriveth:

It is marked US3 / best badger

and it is NOT rebranded!

I don't think this ol' fella has been used!

...and it is going to be one scrubby (-not-scruffy) soaper: handle 49mm; loft 44mm; knot diameter 24mm.

What fun!!!!!

I'm with Joe on this...please update us on how it performs for you. I also had my eye on this, but was not sure about the knot. Congrats on the purchase, it's a great looking brush

this is the most dense original badger knot I've ever run into.... Gonna shave with it now.

The label is essentially gone after two latherings and a Barbicide bath! (Luckily I have a couple of new ones on hand - but a re-labeled brush won't be "original," will it?

I used it today - it is amazingly dense and a tad scrubby; this was not the silky carress of a Plisson HMW... but Snowman-boy shows promise - I reserve judgment until I use him another few times.

I mean really really dense.
