I just received this brush the other day from WCS and I have to say that this is truly a... well, uh.... a "classic" .
I have been curious about this brush for quite some time and finally decided to pull the trigger and continue on the down the road of the Simpsons less-traveled. I am very happy that I did.
I will just post all the pictures first and then I will add some comments afterwards since I know that most of you come here for the articles.
The Classic 2 pre-bloom
back side of brush
next to Tulip 2
next to Polo 8
next to Chubby 1
next to Duke 3
next to Harvard 4
next to the 56 of the Fifty-Series
next to the Eagle G3
Top View of the Classic 2, Eagle G3 and Duke 3 (l to r)
You can really see how dense the Classic 2 (on the left) really is.
Side by side view of same brushes as above
Getting the Classic 2 ready:
Going with the Cade
Post-bloom
pre-bloom again
The density of this brush reminds me of the the Eagle with a bit of a shorter loft which gives this brush the ability to devour soaps. The handle is in the Duke-style with a handle size that mirrors the Duke 2.
Therefore, with the similarities between the Duke and Eagle, I give you
