The Shavepocalypse happened this week...

My home town, like many, was dramatically affected by the Super Derecho storm that hit on Friday June 29th. The entire county went dark, and some folks still don't have power back. I went to Walmart a few minutes ago. All of the carts were gone. Wiped out. Empty space on the shelves. My guess is that all of the electric razor users broke out their old handles when the batteries on their razors died.

Of course, there were still plenty of Walmart Wilkies.

Just out of curiosity: where can I find out more about the coming Shavepocalypse, and what factual research that went into it? Surely you must notice a few years before, and a wise man would get supplies well in advance?

Then again: perhaps I need a replacement razor if my three in rotation break down, and 3000 blades. They don't take up that much room.

The consensus seems to be that it's coming.

I've also decided I must get a Weber, and I've gotten a quiet acceptance from my SO that I can get 2000 blades. They don't take up much room.I
