What's new

The shave continues to evolve

Just when I thought I had my razors down to my favorites, the ones I both liked and used, I find my preferences have changed again.

I've had my razors down to 3 or should I say 6. Let me explain. I've narrowed my razors down to the 3 I've been using most often, my go to razors. They are: My Merkur 1904's, my HD's, and my Barberpole HD's. I list them as plural because I use the safety bar and the open comb of each.

I have large hands, and a tough beard, but the last few shaves with the barberpoles have proved not equal to the 1904's or the HD's. I just find the added weight and length of the barberpoles to be not at all comfortable or to my liking.

Because of this I have both barberpoles for sale in B/S/T. Check my posting there for details if interested.

The main reason for this posting is how one's shaving preferences seem to be in a constant state of change. Just when one feels they have things down and set, something happens and your shaving routine flips and you have to settle into a new routine.

I don't think one can ever say for sure that their shave and their gear are set and locked down forever. There is just too much that can happen to upset the cart.

Anyway check out my new B/S/T posting on these excellent, but no longer needed by me, razors. :thumbup1:

Regards,

Paul :a52:

The only thing I haven't yet settled on in my minimalist kit is my cologne. Everything else is locked in...

I am absolutely settled, with no hint of changing, on a round tip. (With a razor that I had that I knew wouldn't move due to severe damage elsewhere than the blade edge, I even somewhat rounded the sharp tip.)

Beyond that, I like variety and change.
