I'm not a chess player. Starting watching the Queen’s Gambit on Netflix and couldn’t stop. My first complete binge, sleep deprived but totally enjoyed.

I watched both seasons of Altered Carbon and then listened to the audio book. I’ve been thinking of rewatching that one. It’s difficult being bombarded with new offerings daily. Other than news and sports TV became redundant for me, once I started streaming.
Besides being an outstanding series it motivated me to purchase a chess set. After my head exploded reading some chess books the motivation petered out.

Definitely a game of high strategy for deep thinkers. I learned the basic moves but seldom won a game. I found backgammon to be a lot more fun. But hardly comparable.

Indeed very good. Worth a re-watch sometime.
She's good in "The Menu" as well. It's an interesting watch (movie).
The Queen's Gambit is excellent, not just about chess.I've been on the fence with this one. I'm sure it's good, just not sure I want to commit my time to watching a series about chess.I've considered reading the book as well. Similar boat with Altered Carbon
