What's new

The Longest Day.

Is a day when the UPS truck is going to bring a new brush.

C'mon T&H Style 1 Horn Large!

Anybody else waiting for a new brush?

Not waiting on anything, but I feel your pain. I always watch the clock when I'm expecting a package. Kind of like a kid on Christmas Eve.

You're lucky if it ends up being a long ONE day. I'm also waiting on a T&H brush (classic small) from UPS. Today is the FIFTH separate time it has been on the truck for delivery. Since the scheduled delivery date last week, it has been caught in two snowstorms, one "sorting error," and one...whatever happened yesterday (?). The fifth time is the charm, I always say. It is going to be one tired brush when I finally unwrap it.

As a matter of fact- yes!

Semogue 2012 SE currently on the truck, for delivery today.

enjoy your new brush!

Time just seems to slow down when you are waiting. I have a B&B red essential brush on its way. Greg, that T&H brush looks amazing, I am sure it will be with the wait.

@Kooze That is a really nice brush. I recently ordered one and love it.

You too! I have a Semogue SOC coming too but who knows where that one is. Customs? Bottom of the Atlantic? My mailbox?

Not quite the same, but I'm heading in to NYC and the end of the month and planning a stop at Pastuer's. Until then, I've put myself on a mini-sabbatical. The anticipation is maddening!

Yep. i am waiting on a Chubby 2 2-band from a trade with a fine gentleman from Florida! i think mine will take much longer than yours. :biggrin1:

Our mail is delivered to one of those cutesy little stations that are scattered around the neighborhood. There are two large receptacles below for over-sized packages. When the mailman uses one of them, a key is placed in the recipient's mailbox.

About a week ago I was expecting an SBAD package on a Friday. Walked to the station, saw the closed door, knew my package had arrived, opened our mailbox, took out the key, leaned down, inserted key in lock, key wouldn't turn. Went back to house, found vice-grips in tool box (whoever used them last actually replaced them), walked half block back to mail station, applied vice-grips, forced key, key broke. Called Post Office, Post office was closed. Called Post Office again the next morning, Post Master put in work order, no one showed up on Saturday, Monday was a holiday. Serious SBAD withdrawal set in. Delerium tremens, dreams about being a brush -- buried alive. Long, long 3-day weekend.

Another Duke is somewhere in the UPS system.....

I keep waiting and waiting and waiting......

I'm waiting for two M&F 2XLs (one in faux jade and the other a a burl-looking imitation wood) with so-called "Finest" knots and a used Rooney 1/2 Finest w/ faux horn handle. I blame Luis for the M&Fs. The Rooney was God's will, and I am an obedient servant.

You guys are pathetic so you'll understand my consternation. Today I was expecting UPS to deliver a Rooney 3/1 Super Silvertip from Vintage Blades. Sadly I'll have to wait until Monday for pickup. It's enough to make a grown man weep.

You're a better man than I am. I cried like a baby.
