I wonder if these new production brushes have the same specs as before? They look to have the same handles and loft, but maybe these are denser or something else? If not, I guess C&E finally decided to price these brushes where they probably should have been all along.
I also have a Edwin Jagger version of this brush, but don't like it as much. It seems to have a longer loft and more of a fan-shaped head - too floppy. My old C&E BBB has a slightly firmer, shorter loft and a rounded brush head. I may have to pick up a few more of these new ones for my two sons who are just getting started with shaving. I have Shavemac, Simpson and Rooney brushes, but still reach for the trusty C&E BBB at least 2x per week.
