The Henson & The Moka Pot

A financially sound choice would be not to collect razors and not to read badger & blade.

(I guess when I think of Henson I immediately go to the AL not the Ti. It's a fair point.)

I'm not taking a side in this conversation, but I'll say that I really like my Henson. So I'm wondering what you find to be better choices in that price range or less. I'm not disagreeing with you. Just asking your opinion. (I'll also admit that my razor usage has been limited to fairly inexpensive modern razors and a few vintage razors. I've never had anything high end, but that's kinda the point of this discussion that the OP says that nothing competes with it in this price range.)

One can buy a stainless steel Lupo for the same price as an aluminum Henson. The Lupo is a better razor (just my opinion, of course).

But again: Lots of people love the Henson. It's been very successful for a reason, and I am glad they are there in the market, as competition is good for the consumer. Just because the Henson isn't for me doesn't mean it won't be a great razor for others.
