The "Ghick" - an old Krona helps a rival

The pic of a bay group buy showed a Super Adjustable, but once received it was sadly noted that only one door was present - It took a few minutes to regain my composure, and then I remembered seeing a SA on the bay fitted with Krona doors....I had a decrepit example bound for the trash heap, but the next day its salvageable doors were fitted and I had a GHICK!!

( didn't have the heart to attack a Superspeed - would have been cast off of B&B...and the Tech isn't a TTO)

The razor is a serviceable piece of shavegear - nice results today - and now resides in the ready drawer with my Merkur adjustables to handle the SOTD grind.

I can't really say if I'd pull parts off a SA to save a Krona....

Wow! This looks great. Just the doors were transplanted? or the entire head? or something in between? Did you have to pry a tab loose to free the door and then re bend? I have a superspeed with a bent door tab that I have been afraid to straighten out. I worry that it might break.

I have a no name, probably Indian - made TTO that has nice shiny doors. Guess what happened?

Now have a shaver grade SA from the twilight of Gillette TTO Adjustable production!
