If you search the BST forum you will see quite a few of them. There you will also get a good idea on it's value.

A finisher after at least 8K, preferably even higher IMO. Or after a coticule for example.

Worth? Check eBay & BST

I have one they go for around 50 to 90 pounds in sterling...i've compared mine to coticule by using it after a coticule and never felt any differance .. I'd say for sure there in the same finishing range as coticule s and even escher....

These are Eschers. The ones from some era's have the Escher logo in the middle of all that text. The ones that aren't Eschers are the same rock.

The stones in these boxes were ~125x25x15mm cuts, were designed for razor finishing and are quite common, about as common as the 7x1.5" cut Eschers. Due to the size they sell for a lot less. I've seen them go around $50 before when there wasn't much competition over them, but $75-100 is a more common average. Like a lot of razor stones the VAST majority are sold out of england for whatever reason, so Gary's price in pounds makes more sense. Like most thuringians, yellow greens and light greens command a premium since they're the most popular colors. Also, if the label has the escher logo (a Chalice), that'll give them a premium too. I don't think I've ever seen one this size go for much over $150-175 though, even Y/G and with the cup. A blue without the cup would likely be a bit under $100 at auction, but could go as low as $50-60. In any case $20 is a steal.

They definitely leave a sharper edge than a coticule in my experience. A bit sharper than a 12k JIS synthetic. One of the better razor finishing stones out there in my book.
