The Fat - I'm a believer

I'm not sure if this warrants an entirely new thread by itself but I felt compelled to share...

I have used creams exclusively up to this point (mostly QCS creams) and decided to try out a puck of MWF as my first soap. After a few days all I can say is WOW  my skin has never felt so nice! Whether it's the moisturizing effect or something else, I can't stop feeling giddy about my skin... I am definitely a believer of The Fat, I have found my daily for sure.

I'll also have to have a go with some of Mike's soaps, I have only heard great things about those as well.

Thank you for reading, have a great shave and long live The Fat!

Jay, welcome to The Order of the FAT! We are glad you are here! This soap is definately in my top 5 soaps. Some people have trouble getting a decent lather especially if they have hard water. I am glad to see that you aren't having those difficulties. The Fat will truly be a life long companion.

Other must tries are Cella, Tabac, La Toja stick, and Arko IMHO.

Again, welcome to The Order!

I feel the fat is almost unequalled, but, for me, Mike's takes a slight lead. Either one provides excellent lather, slickness and cushion with a great face feel. I would be happy to use either exclusively, but, fortunately I get to use both!

I still call myself an MWF lover but I think Haslinger Shafmilch beats it soundly every way (except maybe scent).

I'm planning on moving the Shafmilch into my MWF ceramic dish when I finish off the last of my MWF puck. :tongue_sm

I also recently bought a puck of MWF. Unfortunately, I find it takes me a ridiculously long time to build a lather with it forcing me to skip it most days in favor of easier to use products. Of course, when I do have the time I go straight for it and enjoy what up to this point is the best lather I have ever used.

Used Mitchells today so a very appropriate post to come across.

MWF is one of the MUST take soaps when I travel. MWF, Cella, Tabac (stick), and Arko (stick) are the ones that ALWAYS go with me

The Fat is fantastic! Even with the hard water I have the lather I get is supurb. I've started to do weekly roatations of my soaps and this week has been The Fat. I'll probably cheat some just so I can go back to it at least once a week.

Thank you Riff Raff, I am honored!

I actually went onto Mike's site and ordered 6 samples after reading this!

I have heard magical things about this Haslinger Shafmilch... hopefully I'll have the opportunity to try it in the near future

I've been using so much of this stuff that I think my Cholesterol level is rising!

Had to control myself here at work after reading that!

Out of the 9 top quality soaps I have Mitchells is the best for me.
Not too fond of the scent but the lather quality more than makes up for that.
For me it lathers very easily and I can find that fine line between slickness and cushion every time without too much effort.
The lanolin in it makes it very slick and even cushions the brush hairs from my face, so face lathering even on sensitive skin is still comfortable.
Good value for money also if you buy just the puck.
Really just a great all round soap.
