The Fat has spoken

About a month ago, I bought my first ever puck of mwf. Since then, I have yet to get a single good lather from it. Do not try to help me. The Fat has simply decided that I'm not worthy enough for its slick, cushiony lather. Sighs. Goodbye Fat, you annoying, irritating puck of soap. Boy, that's a weird sentence.

Same here.

The Fat didn't work for me even when I got fairly proficient at working up a good lather. When I used it, a greasy residue lingered on my face all day. I suspect a reaction to the lanolin.

For sure its all a matter of what works for you, and not every soap is going to work great for everyone.

If you can't, or don't want to bother, with trading or any other way of getting rid of it, you can always use it as a regular soap until its used up.

"Oh Fat,

I am not worthy to receive you,

But I only show the badger and you lather..."

Only the anointed and chosen will enter the Kingdom of Mitchell's.

I live in Perth WA. Never had a problem with MWF. I use it 3-4 times per week. Cant get any soap lathering properly up north where I worl due to the hardness and although some have said is not true, I believe water quality does effect the lather. Try a bottled water (which I do and haven't had a problem since) and see if that helps. My MWF lathers copious amount after just a few seconds of lathering with a brush (body-shop synthetic) Perth water = no problem Hard water or bore water = poor lather bottled water = good lather

I picked of a sample of the fat from Garry awhile back to see what all the rumpus was about. I took the flakes
and pressed them into a lathering bowl. At each attempt to lather, no matter what the brush, water combo was,
the fat simply laughed at me and said "I don't need to make no stinkin' lather". The sample got tossed.

Very hit or miss.

I used to keep it around for its skin conditioning properties and deal with its fickle behavior.

Now Ive found products that lather much better, provide better quality lather and better post shave feel all in one.

So, much like a beautiful but shallow and concieted lady, the fat has been kicked to the curb.

I have no troubles with it... Fact is my favorite way to use it is load brush with mwf then load tabac on top....

Omg the most awesome lather ever..... EVER!
