I just wanted to comment about the community here at Badger and Blade.
In our shaving journey, we somehow, someway have made it to this point. We have all gathered here either by word of mouth, through research, by dumb luck or perhaps through sheer force of will. The roads of travel have been varied and many, yet on this winding and treacherous road we call shaving, we somehow have all journeyed to this point and this place... Newbs and vets, old and young, men and women, straights and slants, we are all here together.
In a way we are all looking for help, and since the help we seek is somewhat off the beaten path, we are limited in where we can get our assistance. Outside of this place, good advice and guidance comes slowly if at all. I think that we, the members of Badger and Blade, sense this. We sense that we're isolated but together, and in that way, perhaps we help and support each other with a bit more gusto than we otherwise would.
Consider this, two groups of people are stranded at remote lodges in a snowstorm. One group knows that a truck is coming to get them out in 1 hour. The other group has no help coming, they are on their own. Now think for a second. Which of these groups will spend the hour helping each other? Which group will come up with a plan that benefits everyone? Which group of people need each other to survive?
These are things that define the Badger and Blade community.
We're stranded in the lodge together, and no one else is coming to help us, so...we help each other. Thats just how we roll.
By the way...the lodge we're in, is way frigin' better than the other lodge. Plus we have cold beer and Cuban cigars and a buffet style dinner spread that has Jello, butterscotch pudding and like 10 flavors of chicken wings...and we have an Evel Knievel pinball machine, and that game that you used to play at the carnival where you shoot the red star off a piece of paper with a bb gun, also all the seating in our lodge is made up entirely of recliners, even outside our jacuzzi in the back yard, you know...right next to the inflatable moonwalk, the single malt scotch bar and the poker table.
Anyway, I got carried away a bit, but I hope you all understand what I was trying to say.
Please feel free to add stuff that you think our lodge would have.
Thanks brothers.
...and when I say brothers I mean brothers and sisters, ok?!
