The Aluminium Foil and Baking Soda Clean ?

What is this method?

I am expecting a 1963 Gillette Slim in a few days time.

it's for silver plated razors. when i did it on a silver single ring, i put the foil in a bowl, put the razor in and tipped a load of baking soda on top. then tipped on boiling water from a kettle.

it brought the razor up like new, after a light polish.

All a Slim needs is some Scrubbing bubbles, a toothbrush, maybe some Maas polish and some TLC

yep, as above.

In the UK this is any bathroom mousse (i use morrison's own), and Peek polish (from B&Q)

I think so, since the chemical stuff going on would be.....

silver sulfide + aluminium -> silver + aluminium sulfide

Question... would the Maas work on any green corrosion that might be peeking through? Or might it make it worse?
