Thater Shaving Brushes

I just used a Thater 4125/2 two band bulb today for the first time. My experience is very positive with this brush, very soft tips with lots of backbone. Odd how we can all experience the same brush differently!

I agree with the last two guys on some things. The 4125 is probably Thater's best brush. However, I haven't used a Funf which seems to use a knot similar to the 4125. I like my 4125 in the 24 or 26mm sizes. They are never scrubby. The tips are extremely soft and luxurious feeling. Mine never had a lot of backbone, but I wouldn't say they had none. Bulbs have more backbone than fans.

I have owned 9 Thater brushes. 6 two band silvertips and three, 3 band silvertips. Never had issues with any of the 2 band, but all three 3 bands shed some and were lacking in backbone. The 26mm knot size is the best IMHO.
