To my fellow B&B members, I want to offer heartfelt thanks. For the past 8 months or so, this has been my Internet destination. Being a techie dork and doing consulting work in the wireless industry, today was a big day with Apple's annual keynote address and the introduction of new iPhones.
As such, I visited some Apple fora that I used to read on the regular. After spending time here, I am shocked and appalled at the lack of consideration on most other forum sites. There is a complete absence of respect for YMMV, no patience for repeated questions, and a generalized angry tone coming from nearly every member.
After no more than five minutes, I was again reminded what a great community we have here. Much respect for different cultures, opinions and experiences. If someone asks what the numbers on the blades are for, many members jump in and answer without angrily saying "use the search feature."
This is just a great community and after spending time outside of it today, I feel scarred and abused and happy to be back here. So a big thanks goes out to all here for making B&B what it is.
